Spiritual and Life Path Counseling
An ongoing series of informational entries
Healing involves a variety of approaches besides spiritual counseling. In addition to counseling and consultation/guidance services, explore Tai Chi, Massage Therapy, Acupressure, Auricular Acupuncture, Yoga, Reiki and Reflexology. These modalities are ancient and clinically proven to be beneficial for the mind, body and spirit. The application and use of appropriate color and light therapy is also healing.

We often take for granted all that we have in our private worlds. Do we have a roof over our heads? Do we have running water to shower and bathe? Do we have electricity to cool or heat our homes and use our tech devices? Besides the obvious, do we feel loved or appreciated in any facet of our lives? Are we experiencing fairly good health? Gratitude can be such an important part of who we are and puts things in perspective. Each day, when you awake, give thanks for another day to see the daylight, or hear birds or traffic or pet your cat or dog or call a friend, give thanks for the clean water coming out of your shower. Know that you are alive, even if you have challenges and be grateful for another day to do better.
Happiness is a Choice

People often tell me they do not know what love or happiness is all about. They lost touch with their inner child and forgot how to play as adults. Life became so serious, with worry about money, bills, kids, etc. The reality is how you think often influences how you feel. We often take so much for granted, worry too much, that we forget how to have fun. I have told many people who struggle with "tomorrow" that worrying never changes the outcome, that it is a waste of precious time. I suggest that if you struggle with this, that you sit for a few minutes and try to remember back to your childhood when you felt free and easy. Were you riding your bike? Where you exploring the woods? Whatever it was, visualize this in your mind's eye, try to take in all of the sights around your. Feel that happiness of being free once again. Learn to laugh and take life less seriously. "The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama. is a powerful story filled with wisdom.
